Hello everyone,
My name is Vincent Wendén, I’m 40 years old, and I’m from Gothenburg, Sweden. I’m an old friend of Christian Becker, who told me about your group and it sounded so much fun that I decided to try to join Epic Empires this year together with him.
I used to do a lot of LARPing when I was younger, but I haven’t done it in nearly 20 years, so I’m really excited to dive back into it. I’ve never participated in LARP outside of Sweden, so this will be an entirely new experience for me. (And I imagine the LARP scene has evolved a lot in these two decades, both in Sweden and Germany.)
Over the years, I’ve shifted my focus towards HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and have become an active member of the Gothenburg Historical Fencing Club and arranged The Swordfish Tournament. These experiences have kept my interest in historical combat alive.
I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you and experiencing the event together. I believe LARPing is a great way to share epic stories, and I can’t wait to contribute to that atmosphere.
As for my character, I’m still finalizing the details, but I plan to play a Swedish cousin to Prince Kjartan Sigtryggson. He isn't done yet but I’m already excited to see how he interacts with others and what challenges lie ahead.
